CONFERENCE WING

Natural wood tones with a view of the lake

The conference wing is characterised throughout by wood: the load-bearing structures are constructed from laminated timber; the walls are panelled in glossy pine veneer and the floors in the rooms are birch, while some of the cabinets are rowan wood. All rooms look out onto the lake in the evening sun. The rooms have been named after the movements of Jean Sibelius’s Op. 75, ‘The Trees’, and they feature inspiring works from textile artist Satu Alalantela.
