Ludwig van Beethoven composed this symphony inspired by his walks in nature, portraying the heavens. In this narrative work, birds sing, streams flow and a storm is always followed by sunshine. The Lahti Symphony Orchestra’s famous horns are finally given full rein in Robert Schumann’s rarely heard Konzertstück, an impressive display of power by four virtuosos.
