The Nutcracker by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, with its fabulous melodies, has been a highlight of the midwinter celebration for more than a century and is an integral part of the magical world of Christmas. Ballet choreography brings a visual element to music that is already splendid in its own right. The musicians of the Lahti Symphony Orchestra, the dancers from the Lahti College of Music and the conductor Petri Komulainen bring Christmas to the Sibelius Hall.
