Kalevi Aho, one of Finland’s greatest contemporary composers, celebrates his 75th birthday in March. The Lahti Symphony Orchestra will mark the birthday of its long-time composer-in-residence and current honorary composer with a Focus concert with a programme selected by Aho. The evening will feature music that has inspired Aho, as well as his Symphony No. 17, completed in 2019, with the subtitle Symphonic Frescos.
