Irina has had a successful career as a solo artist for over twenty years.

Jore Marjaranta is a singer-songwriter who, in addition to his solo career, has become known for the bands Leningrad Cowboys and Guitar Slingers.

Irina immediately rose to the top of Finland’s artists with her debut album Vahva in 2004 and has remained there for two decades now. In addition to her artistic career, Irina is known to Finns especially as one of the soloists of Elämäni biisi. Irina has released eight studio albums in her career, the most famous of which are the two-Emma-winning debut album Vahva and the platinum-selling Älä riko kaavaa (2005) and Liiba laaba (2007). Irina’s previous studio album was Haluun olla yksin, released in 2021, the title track of which became one of the biggest hits of Irina’s career. The song has so far enjoyed a good 121 weeks on the radio top 200 list, nine of which were at number one. Haluun olla yksin has already collected over 6.5 million streams, qualifying for platinum.

Jore became known in the early 90s as a member of the band Leningrad Cowboys, touring the world and performing, among others, at the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards in New York and at Senate Square in Helsinki with the Red Army Choir in 1993. This year marks over 40 years since Jore’s first band, The Clap, performed their album release gig at Helsinki’s legendary Tavastia Klub. His other bands have included the Albert Järvinen Band and the Guitar Slingers.
