Lahti Symphony Orchestra: May Day concert

A traditional May Day matinee would not be traditional if traditions were not broken. This year, tradition will once again be upheld when the Lahti Symphony Orchestra invites a festive audience to experience the undisputed elite of Finnish clowning, the Red Nose Company.

Founded in 2005, Red Nose Company is known as one of Finland’s most original touring theatre companies. And it’s true: honouring and actively updating the long history of clowning, Red Nose Company has deservedly won many awards.

Red Nose Company, which it has acquired through its collaborations with such ensembles as the Finnish Baroque Orchestra, the Meta4 and Kamus Quartets and the Avanti Chamber Orchestra, among others. Nothing is certain at the May Day matinee, but expect pale faces and red ones too – at least on stage.

The length of the concert is about 60 minutes, no intermission
